DURBAN nightlife is losing two of its familiar spots, with KuDTa announcing the closure of its Wilsons Wharf and uShaka venues.
In a statement that is likely to leave regulars surprised, management confirmed that KuDTa Wilsons Wharf will close after 12 years, while KuDTa uShaka will close after five years.
For years, the venues have been part of Durban’s social scene, attracting patrons for meals, music, drinks, celebrations and events.
But management says the closure does not signal the end of the KuDTa story.
“Every ending creates new beginnings,” the business said.
KuDTa described its venues as places where memories were made, friendships formed and celebrations shared.
The management also thanked customers who supported the brand over the years.
“To everyone who walked through our doors and made Ku D Ta what it was, thank you,” the statement said.
The message suggests that a new concept could be on the way, although management has not revealed what the next chapter will look like.
“A new vision. A new experience. A new adventure,” the statement teased.
For loyal KuDTa patrons, the closure marks the end of an era at two well-known Durban locations.
But the final message from management is clear: this is not goodbye.
“Watch this space. The best is yet to come.”
The question now is: what exactly is KuDTa cooking up next?
