Durban music fans have been dealt a last-minute surprise after organisers announced that Tamia’s highly anticipated Durban concert will no longer take place at the Durban ICC.
In a venue change notice issued ahead of the show, organisers confirmed that Tamia Live in Durban has been moved to Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Stamford Hill. The concert is still scheduled for Friday, 7 August 2026.
According to the notice, the event date remains unchanged, and all tickets purchased for the Durban ICC will still be valid for the new venue. Existing ticket holders will be issued with new tickets for Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, with seats being reassigned to the next best available seating arrangement.
The sudden change has generated mixed reactions among concertgoers, with some welcoming the larger venue while others have expressed concern about seating arrangements and the short notice.
Tamia, the Grammy-nominated R&B singer known for hits such as “So Into You,” “Officially Missing You,” and “Stranger in My House,” is expected to draw thousands of fans from across KwaZulu-Natal and beyond.
Organisers have apologised for any inconvenience caused and said they are looking forward to delivering “an unforgettable evening with Tamia.”
