SOL PHENDUKA has hit back after content creator Naqueeda opened up about two alleged club encounters involving him and fellow podcaster Thakgi.
Naqueeda, whose real name is Lesedi “Naqueeda” Dayel, has found herself at the centre of another social media storm after appearing on Spreading Humours, where she spoke candidly about men allegedly making advances towards her.
During Episode 158 of Spreading Humours, Naqueeda recalled an encounter with Thakgi at a club.
She claimed that Thakgi spent much of the night staring at her, leaving her uncomfortable enough to eventually walk over and greet him.
But Thakgi was not the only podcast personality she spoke about.
Naqueeda also told the hosts about an encounter with Sol Phenduka, saying he approached her and complimented her appearance.
Her version of events quickly made its way onto social media, with clips from the episode going viral.
The drama intensified when social media users began suggesting that both Thakgi and Sol had been trying their luck with Naqueeda.
But Sol was having none of it.
The Podcast and Chill personality took to X to respond to the claims, insisting that his interaction with Naqueeda was simply an act of kindness.
“I was literally just being kind,” Sol said in response to the controversy.
He then appeared to make his position even clearer, writing:
“She is not even my type. Not even close!!!!”
His response has since added another layer to the already heated online debate.
While some social media users have defended Sol, arguing that complimenting a woman does not automatically mean a man is hitting on her, others have sided with Naqueeda and maintained that she was simply sharing how she experienced the encounters.
The controversy comes months after Naqueeda made headlines in another podcast-related dispute. In April, Daily Sun reported that she had launched a R1 million defamation lawsuit against L-Tido and fellow podcasters over comments allegedly made about her on a podcast episode.
Naqueeda has also built a following as a digital creator and entrepreneur, particularly in the beauty space. She has been preparing to launch her own cosmetics brand, N Cosmetics.
For now, however, it is her explosive club stories and Sol Phenduka’s blunt response that have Mzansi talking.
